Analysis on the Causes of Bearing Locking in Crusher

Bearing locking is actually a large amount of heat generated by the crusher bearing during operation, and this heat cannot be dissipated in a short time, resulting in a sharp increase in the bearing temperature, and then the bearing locks up. This phenomenon is very common in equipment overhaul and production service sites. The specific causes of bearing heating are as follows:
1. Improper adjustment of bearing clearance during assembly: In actual work, many installations are debugged only by feel, and the clearance is prone to be too large or too small, which cannot meet the needs of production at all. If the axial clearance is too small, it is easy to cause the bearing to heat up, and even cause the rolling elements to be stuck or glued to damage; if the axial clearance is too large, the impact force of the moving pair will increase and the rigidity will decrease, which will cause abnormal noise during operation. It may even cause severe vibration or damage the cage.
2. Improper matching between the bearing outer ring and the seat hole or the bearing inner ring and the shaft during assembly: During the assembly process, the inner hole was not ground and its size was measured, and the new bearing was replaced for assembly. After the test drive, it was found that the temperature rise was too high. . When dismantling the measurement, it was found that the bearing seat hole had been deformed, which squeezed the outer ring of the bearing, resulting in a smaller radial clearance of the bearing, uneven rotation of the rolling elements, and increasing wear. If the clearance between the inner ring of the bearing and the shaft is too large, the inner ring of the bearing will rotate together with the rolling element and the shaft, and friction will cause the bearing to generate heat and vibration.
3. Lubrication problem: the grease in the bearing should not be too much. Too much grease will increase the friction torque and the bearing temperature. If the grease is too small, it will not be able to obtain reliable lubrication and dry friction will occur. Generally speaking, the appropriate amount of grease is 1/3 to 1/2 of the total void volume in the bearing. Therefore, an appropriate amount of grease should be added regularly according to the requirements of use.
