(1) The lubricant has strong stability. The size of the jaw crusher and the volume of the oil tank are small, the amount of lubricant installed is small, and the oil temperature is high during work, which requires the lubricant to have good thermal stability and oxidation resistance.

(2) The lubricant is corrosion-resistant and can withstand pollution. Because the working environment of the jaw crusher is harsh, coal dust, rock dust, and more water, the lubricant will inevitably be contaminated by these impurities. Therefore, the lubricant is required to have good rust, corrosion, and emulsification resistance. When contaminated, its * will not change much, that is, the sensitivity to pollution will be small.

(3) The lubricant is less affected by temperature. Jaw crusher works in the open air, the temperature in winter and summer varies *ly, and the temperature difference between day and night in some areas is also very large. Therefore, the viscosity of the lubricant must be changed less with temperature. It is necessary to avoid the oil viscosity becoming too low when the temperature is high. Can not form a lubricating film, can not achieve lubrication, but also to avoid low temperature, the viscosity is too high, so that starting, running difficult.

(4) Lubricants have better flame resistance. For some machines, such as jaw crushers, which are often used in mines prone to fire and explosion accidents, it is required to use a lubricant with good flame resistance (flammable liquid), and not use flammable mineral oil.

(5) The sealability of the lubricant is good. The lubricant used by the jaw crusher has better adaptability to the seals, so as not to damage the seals.
